摘要：The invention relates to an agent for the gene therapeutic inhibition of tissueregeneration, especially the inhibition of tissue proliferation and the decrease ofexuberant healing processes. The invention is preferably used for inhibiting restenosisafter balloon angioplasty. The essential item of the invention is an agent consisting of arecombinant vector which contains a sequence that codes for a fusion protein comprisedof the c-myb-DNA-binding domain and consisting of a transcription repressor. In apreferred embodiment, an engrailed gene is used as a transcription repressor. Theinvention especially relates to an agent that contains the sequence which codes for thefusion protein and which is comprised of nucleotides 250-632 of c-myb fused with thenucleotides for amino acids 2-298 of the Drosophila engrailed gene followed by
nucleotides 633-636 c-myb AAG CTT GAG CAG AAG CTG ATC TCC GAG GAG GAC CTG ACCTAG (myc 9E10 epitope).
