摘要：A method of controlling operation of a communication device (300) incommunication with a wireless communication network (250) is disclosed. The
communication device (300) is capable of operating in an extended transfer block flowmode. The method comprises allocating one or more paging blocks (500) to thecommunication device for the extended transfer block flow mode, monitoring for theallocated one or more paging blocks by the communication device (300) operating in theextended transfer block flow mode and determining the operating mode of thecommunication device in response to receiving an allocated paging block and accordingto whether there is data to be communicated between the communication device (300)and the wireless communication network (250).
