摘要：A system is disclosed which monitors the consumption of utilities such as gas,LPG, oil, electricity and water, and displays this information in an easily interpretable way.Consumption of the resources is monitored and processed before being displayed on auser interface. In processing the information, threshold consumption values andmaximum consumption values may be determined, and tariff details obtained. In anexemplary embodiment, consumption of gas, electricity and water are displayedsimultaneously on three scales of varying colours indicative on the amount ofconsumption. Alerts may inform a user if thresholds are exceeded or if consumptionhabits change. A teaching aid employing the system facilitates education of the effectsthat various appliances have on consumption of utilities.
