And its temperature continues to rise up to melting point by Joule's heat which is raised by increased electric resistance in proportion to absolute temperature . As the heat generation rate is faster than radiation rate, the wire with higer specific resistance takes shorter time to reach melting point and its fuging current becomes smaller. Under balancing between Joule's heat and radiation rate, difference of electric resistance between 2N and 4N can be ignored in comparison with quantity of heat generation. And the difference of melting point between our 4N and 2N wire is below 10℃. So fusing current of 2N wire is almost same with 4N wire. By the way, reading of 2N-1mil is 0.518A and its of 4N-1mil is 0.521A. SUMITOMO METAL MININGSMM
