Honesty is the best policy
As the saying goes “honesty is the best policy”. Honesty is so indispensable for we every people. In my own part, it is beneficial to the interpersonal relationship, our daily work and the advance of society. Given these reasons I suppose it is the basic norms of life.
Honesty helps us build a steady relationship with our family, friends and lovers. First, honesty is goodness in China and as a child, we everyone should show respect to our family members by being honesty .Second, it makes your friends trust you more and benefits your friendship. Third, it’s so significant for lovers that they can live happily and love each other forever. In one word, honesty is indispensable quality for our international relationship.
In addition, honesty can make our daily work more easily and happily by making a good impression on our bosses, colleagues and clients. Bosses would trust us and give us more opportunities if we show honesty in job. Furthermore, we can get respect from colleagues and clients. Then, our daily work will be more interesting and efficient.
Finally, honesty helps regulate the social order and promote the advance of the society. For example, SanLu, a famous brand which produced milk powder in HeBei province, adding overdose melamine in milk powder and causing a series of poisoning incidents. Because the dishonesty of the company, so many children had been hurt and the company went bankrupt finally. On the contrary, companies emphasize honesty will have a good conduct with their clients and achieve a win-win situation sooner or later. Thus, from this perspective, honesty makes a contribution to social progress.
