1 My best / good friend
Kate is my best friend. I met her five years ago.
Kate is tall and slim.She has around face and a small nose. She has long hair. I like her smiling eyes.They make her look kind. Kate always has a smile on her face and looks happy. She’s helpful and often helps me with my homework. When I feel bored, I often go to her.
Kate would like to be a teacher when she grows up. I think she will make a good teacher.
2 My ideal school
My ideal school starts at 9a.m. And finishes at 3p.m. We do not need to get up early.We only have an hour of homework every day.
We have an hour for lunch. We listen to music at lunchtime. We wear school uniforms.
We can choose subjects to study.I have computer lessons every day. We always have fun.
3 A pleasant trip
Last spring, I went to Hangzhou with my parents. We went there by

train on May 1.
Hangzhou is one of the most beautiful cities in China. There are many places of interest, and the West Lake is the most famous. We visited some parks, boated on the lake and climbed the hills. We had a good time. After I came back home, I was very tired but happy. I will never forget the happy hours in Hangzhou. I want to visit there again soon.
My first DIY job
My mother’s birthday was coming,so I decided to make her a birthday music box.I kept this
secret,because I wanted to give her a surprise.It took me two hours to make it. Lots of things went wrong during that time. I stuck a real rose on the cover.After my mother opened the box,she heard the birthday song.
This was the first music box. I made for Mum. She was very happy.I was much happier.(见《课课练P44》)
