摘要：A method for use in an electrostatic precipitator unit, of controlling, with a viewto cleaning an incoming dust-laden gas, the supply of conditioning agent to the incomingcontaminated gas upstream of the precipitator unit. The precipitator unit includesdischarge electrodes and collecting electrodes, between which a varying high voltage ismaintained by means of a pulsating direct current supplied thereto. The frequency, thepulse charge and/or pulse length of the pulsating direct current are so varied that aplurality of frequency- charge-length combinations are obtained. For each combination, afigure of merit is measured or calculated. The figures of merit are used for establishingan optimal combination. The supply of conditioning agent is adjusted in dependenceupon the pulse frequency of the established optimal combination.
